A mid-week 30 minute movement class designed as a quick tune-up to help you stay healthy, unwind, and reset in the middle of your week. This class draws from yoga, functional movement, and mindfulness, and may include:
This class is *donation based*. Donations are always appreciated, but never expected.
*Being able to get up and down from the floor is required for this class.
*Modifications and options are always offered to help you individualize your practice, and find your own healthy balance of effort and ease. Please always feel free to go at your own pace, and if something doesn't feel right for you, listen to your body and your intuition!
If you have them, an exercise mat, a blanket, yoga blocks, and a strap are useful to have on hand. If you don't have them, feel free to get creative! Books, boxes, rolled up towels, or pillows can work in place of blocks, a belt works well for a strap, etc. If you need support for balance and transitions, particularly with getting up/down from the floor or moving in and out of a lunge, try setting up near a wall, or keep a chair or two next to you on either side of your mat.
*Zoom room opens 5 mins in advance and stays open 10 mins after class (optional) to allow time for answering questions, workshopping challenges, and engaging with community.

This class follows a modern vinyasa flow format, linking movement with breath, and providing an opportunity to practice embodiment, presence, and play! This class is primarily movement based, however throughout this series we will also explore different styles of pranayama and incorporate teachings from yoga philosophy such as Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and the 8 Limbed Path, honoring the roots of yoga within the modern context of a yoga class.
Although more vigorous than the gentle classes on the schedule, this class is well-rounded and offers lots of options for different bodies and levels of experience to feel good and give yourself what you're needing during this practice. You are always encouraged to listen to your body, finding your individual balance of effort and ease, and choose options that are supportive to you.
Props such as blocks, straps, and blankets are always nice to have on hand. If you enjoy more support for balance, it can be helpful to have a chair nearby, or set yourself up near a wall.
I love to hear from you! Do you have any requests for class? Do you want to join, but the date or time doesn't work for you? Send me a message and I can usually incorporate what you're looking for.

Wellness for body, mind and spirit.
As an occupational therapist, I believe that the way we live our lives on an everyday basis is what creates our health and wellness. My expertise is in looking at a person within the context of their whole picture, identifying areas of their life to bring into balance to facilitate my clients' overall health and wellness and to support them in meeting their goals.
Each client is unique, so every session is different. Our work together may include exploring self care practices, nervous system and stress management regulation, exercise and nutrition, ergonomics, work life balance, environment and context, self connection and exploration, and leisure and play. I am trained in both medical and holistic models of health and wellness, and utilize modalities from both perspectives.
I believe that wellbeing = wellness, and that we all deserve to truly live well. My work is to empower you to bring your life back into balance to support your wellbeing, so that you can not only survive, but thrive, in your everyday life.
In this initial session, we will:
I believe in the limitless potential of you, and know that a little support can go a long way. If you have questions or would like to schedule a 15 minute intro call, please send me a message. I'd love to hear from you!
