Hello! I'm Heather. I'm an occupational therapist and yoga teacher with a passion for everyday life health and wellness. My background in occupational therapy informs the way I teach, using a holistic perspective that considers the mind, body, environment, and spirit. After 12 years of practice, I completed my 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2022 with the Portland Yoga Project, with the intention to deepen my knowledge of the Hindu philosophical system that has had such a positive benefit to my everyday life well-being. I am excited to share this practice with you.
My intention here is to offer a variety of classes, workshops, and 1:1 sessions that support you to live well, throughout your lifespan. As a yoga teacher, I strive to teach well-rounded classes that help you take care of your body and your mind, practice presence, and leave you feeling a bit more embodied and relaxed.
As an occupational therapist, I am passionate about preventative healthcare, and believe that the way we live our day to day lives has a direct impact on our overall health and wellness. My mission is to offer accessible ways to integrate preventative health care in to our daily lives, supporting the (w)holistic well-being of each student as well as my community. I hope that by working with me you feel empowered to manage your own health and well-being, and able to integrate practices that nourish you into your daily life, in a way that works for you.
I believe that living well is the key to our health and well-being. By implementing simple changes and practices in to our daily life, we can support our health and wellness - throughout our lifespan.
